Artist's Comments

White Cliffs is a recent Terragen 2 scene of mine. The final render failed a couple of times due to over heating (Don't try and play Fallout 3 on max while rendering at very high qualities on Terragen 2 when airflow in your case is not the best idea.)

Looks nice, especially in the distance. Sky and atmosphere are cool too. Only the nearer ground looks a bit uniform and to smooth. May be another or different texture could work. But else, it´s a good render for a T2 - often they look very grainy.

Thanks, my next step is to find some good terrain textures (Maybe I should learn Photoshop and make them my self, does anyone know of any good photoshop tutorials for that?) and I need to find some good tree and grass moddels but I think I have found them here [link]

The main cause of grainyness on Terragen 2 is Anti Aliasing set to the default setting of 3 and quality being set to 0.5, I set it to 5 and 1 respectivly and it significantly improves things, sure it does increase render times significantly to make such increases but I hardly notice them since my main rendering machine has a quad core CPU.

Handy to have a fast PC for that... ;)
Yeah, I think some different textures would help - sure there must be lots to download by now. Or make the steep bit rougher if you can, to have a difference between flat and steep areas. But trees and bushes and that are real cool, it´s what I miss most on Terragen 1.
